chugging along
Work in progress, affectionately nicknamed skelebug (Taken with Instagram)
I’ve been chugging away at my little skeletal coleopteran, too. This is one of the first times, if not the first time, I’ve experimented with shading in a pointilist way instead of using crosshatching.
File under: oddest juxtaposition requested for a tattoo design
A dear friend of the family commissioned me to sketch out a tattoo idea for her involving: a fairy with curly hair in a runner’s stance, with a basketball behind her and a viking hat placed haphazardly on her head, with the names of her two daughter’s in the wings since they’re her inspiration to “fly.”
Let’s just say it’s a far cry from my usual illustration topics, but as I mentioned this is for a dear friend, and if she wants a jock-fairy then BY GOD SHE WILL HAVE A JOCK FAIRY.
Thank you so much, this made my day!
I rediscovered this little guy in my sketchbook and started inking him during this morning’s commute
Sorry for the belated reply, Jeff! I haven’t done any more ouija boards *yet,* but I have some intriguing ideas for more circling around my skull. I’m also working on more alchemy inspired, black and white work.
My cat, the art critic. She’s less than impressed with my attempts to capture her fluffy judgment.
Hello, Jill! Thank you so much for asking, not taking. I would be pleased as punch if you used my logo in your flyer (and should you wind up needing it for anything else, here is my explicit, enthusiastic go-ahead) - hooray for writing centers! I hope the folks at Alameda Community College get a kick out of my two-headed writing consultant.
yet another work in progress - “Creation”
Another work in progress - “Abraxas the Abyssal“
I swear I’ve still been arting! This here’s a painting for my aunt based on a childhood drawing of my mother’s. It’s a more precious subject than what I would usually choose, but I’m working for a specific audience :V
deeeeefinitely still in progress, but we’re getting somewhere.
